  Do I need the external microphone?
  Yes, the external microphone will always perform better than the integrated microphone.

  Can I use my OEM microphone?
  Yes, you can manually wire the OEM microphone into A19 and A20 (refer to the wiring diagram under Socket Name A).

  How do I improve external microphone quality?
  Disable the internal microphone so it does not interfere.

  • Newer motherboards (from March 2023) support switching between internal and external mics in software:
    Go to Settings → Factory Settings → 168 → Microphone Switch.
    
    
  • Older motherboards require physically removing the internal mic; otherwise, both mics will run simultaneously.
    
    

  What is TEYES Voice Control?
  It is similar to Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa, designed for your TEYES head unit. The software comes pre-activated on all CC3 units.

  Can I map Siri or Google Assistant to a steering wheel button instead of TEYES Voice?
  No, this is not officially supported. Some users have installed Google Voice from the Play Store and uninstalled TEYES Voice as a workaround.
